Holy Spirit Fellowship Arises in Eugene, OR

25 Jun

My wife and I are deeply joyful in planting a new fellowship in Eugene, Oregon with close friends and family. The Lord is inspiring us to cultivate a fellowship which is addicted to His Presence, Holy Spirit in the midst of His people. This results in abandoned spirits worshiping our Perfect Father and Lord Jesus Christ. Our worship does not end with the music; our worship to God is sustained throughout the preaching, the prophesying, the praying, and the overall fellowship time. The gatherings have a flexible structure, depending on the leading of Holy Spirit in the moment- that is to say, Holy Spirit relational guidance is our “Structure.” What does the Lord have to say about “structure?” Psalm 127:1 “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain…”

For the past three months, almost each week, the Lord graciously gives me a direct scriptural teaching from both the Old and New Testament that magnifies the grace of God in the sacrifice of Jesus. My heart for this fellowship is real revival and deep love. The meeting is meant not as a Socratic classroom, but a family room of believers who surround the Presence of God. Usually, one or two of our members will have an edifying prophetic word for the group or individuals. This fellowship is set up in a way that each person can commune with Jesus and receive rich edification. Our group consists of many musicians who  bask in worship and enjoy His goodness through musical worship. Sometimes, the body edification occurs during musical worship, and at other times we sit in the stillness of delighting in God: “Be still and know that I am God…” God has also inspired us to create an environment of love and acceptance wherein the church members can practice or utilize their various gifts of the Holy Spirit without feeling judged or out of place. This is possible through the real friendship and family dynamic we have with each other, doused with peace, joy, and righteousness in the Holy Ghost. We embrace humor, laughter, lightheartedness and joy; we have permission to be a joyful Bride of Christ- He is worthy of our affection (Psalm 33 says to “shout for joy in the Lord”). It is also vital that I mention the exciting aspect of healing. Yes, we believe in physical healing and miracles. We have had some major healing miracles occur and have verified them with doctor’s documentation (stay tuned for details). How thrilling to see God’s purpose prevail: Psalm 103:1-2 “Bless the Lord, O my soul… Forget not all His benefits. He heals all our diseases and forgives all our iniquities.” This verse is amazing: our Lord heals all our diseases and forgives all our sin. Wow. Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come. The Lamb is worthy to receive all praise, honor, and glory, forever and ever. Amen.

The calling of God on our lives and our fellowship is simple: love relationship with Jesus Christ. The richness of the Word is also simple: the Bible comes alive with the voice of Holy Spirit and the listening hearts of His servants. Christ is the Word, therefore we understand and digest the Bible through a Christocentric perspective of God’s loving heart and sovereign plan of grace. We have entered the New Covenant. Our members come from a myriad of Christian traditions and streams: former Catholics, Baptists, Foursquare, Eastern Orthodox, Pentecostal, Calvary Chapel, Vineyard, Assembly of God, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Charismatic, and more. Yahweh is bringing together His Bride from all kinds of denominations and backgrounds. Here is one of the theme verses of our fellowship: “And I [the Lord] will give them one heart and one purpose: to worship me forever, for their own good and for the good of all their descendants. And I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good for them. I will put a desire in their hearts to worship me, and they will never leave me. I will find joy doing good for them and will faithfully and wholeheartedly replant them in this land.” Jeremiah 32:39-41. The Father finds joy doing good for us! Did I forget to mention that we believe in the unchanging, scandalous goodness of God? This fellowship drinks of His goodness in Holy Spirit experiences, happy theology, and deep pleasure in Christ: “At His right hand are pleasures forevermore,” and “In His presence there is fulness of joy.” One of our elder-pastors gave the following benediction at our first gathering which the Lord reiterated through a visiting minister’s prophetic word two months later: Romans 15:13 “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.” Amen. 🙂 Hope to see you at our fellowship as the Lord leads.
